SUMMARY

The Hearts on Fire Marketing team drives the brand building efforts for the Hearts On Fire brand.  As part of the brand’s growth in the US and in our APAC and EMEA markets, there is a focused effort to use technology as the primary means to bring the brand to life across all channels.  We believe that a best in class, omnichannel brand experience can drive sell through for our independent retail partners and increase brand consideration among our target end consumer. 

The Development Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of projects deployed across the brand’s digital products and supports the Director of Innovation & Experience Design in the execution of technical initiatives online and in-store. This role will be responsible for project planning, scheduling and delivery, technical team prioritization, project process guidance, vendor management, budget management, quality, and ensuring project goals are met with a best in class customer experience in mind.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the technical planning and scoping of new features, updates, and maintenance of HOF.com, Lifeline and future platforms.
  • This role will be responsible for maintaining the development team’s workload, actively communicating project progress, task prioritization, and providing project management best practices.
  • Maintain and groom the digital product backlog.
  • Manage, plan, and properly escalate technical debt across all digital properties.
  • Create, coordinate and participate in cross-functional/cross- departmental teams.
  • Oversee and work with outside vendors, agencies and other project management teams.
  • Manage vendor project budgets and participate in fiscal year planning.
  • Support the Director, Business Innovation & Experience Design by contributing to a Product Roadmap and be able to action against a strategy.
  • Play a leadership role in assessing our current set of tools and capabilities and proactively evaluates and provides recommendations on best of breed tools.

  • Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Experience in full-lifecycle software releases.
  • Ability to manage vendors.
  • Knowledge of project management tools (TFS, Jira, Microsoft Project)
  • “Fail fast” mentality; applies a disciplined test and learn approach to new concepts prior to rollout
  • Strong execution skills; consistently produce results and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal/written presentation skills
  • Superior problem solving, decision-making and leadership capabilities
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience
